May 2005 Service Changes

YOU ARE HERE: Home > Subway > May 2005 Service Changes

There are two changes occurring in late May 2005 to the New York City subway system:

Service on the Nine line will be eliminated

Beginning on Tuesday, May 31, 2005, 9 trains will be eliminated.

Previously, the 9 trains ran only during rush hours.  Starting on May 31, you must use the 1 train instead, which will make all local stops at all times.

N train service restored to Coney Island

Beginning on Sunday, May 29, 2005.  N trains will run all the way to Stillwell Ave - Coney Island instead of their previous terminal of 86th Street, Brooklyn.

The pages at njnyrails.com will be updated to include these service changes at the time they take effect.
